FAQ

How are your lampshades made?

We source our lampshades frames from UK manufacturers. All of the base components, such as the cotton binding and the base panels are handsewn on by us! The trimmings and fringe are attached using fabric glue. Some of our embellishments such as beading and tassels are also handmade by us. You can see our process videos on our social media pages.

Do you do custom orders?

Yes! Get into contact via our email address to enquire about a custom order. Note that we require a materials deposit before we can begin making a custom lampshade. This is to ensure that the cost of making the lampshade is covered.

Do you accept returns?

As all of our lampshades are one-of-a-kind, we only accept returns under certain circumstances. Please get into contact with us to discuss. Note that our lampshades are handmade, therefore there may be small imperfections present that show its handmade nature.

What light bulb should I use?

We recommend only using LED bulbs, as these do not get hot and will not damage the lampshade.

How can I maintain my lampshade?

A simple duster is the best method of keeping your lampshade looking like new! We do not advise getting the lampshade wet at all as this will affect the look of the shade and breakdown parts that are glued.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

Unfortunately due to shipping rules within the EU (GPSR regulations) and the US tariffs, we only ship within the UK.

Do the lampshades come with a base or fitting?

We do not supply a base with the lampshade. The sale is for the lampshade only. Some of our lampshades that use reclaimed frames come with a fitting already, this will be indicated in the listing. We do not supply fittings for the lampshade, as the fitting required depends on where you want the lampshade to go! Send us an email and we can advise on what fitting to purchase.
